A Telegram Bot for Business in Uzbekistan: What It Must Do in 2026

Why Telegram

In Uzbekistan, Telegram stopped being just a messenger a long time ago. People search for products there, negotiate prices, send payment details, and sort out delivery. For a large share of buyers, writing to a business on Telegram is more natural than calling or opening a website. A business without a live Telegram channel doesn't lose those customers — it simply never sees them.

So in 2026 the question is no longer "do we need a Telegram bot". The real question is what that bot has to be like to bring in orders instead of annoying people.

Button menus vs. an AI agent

A classic bot is a menu: "Press 1 for prices." It works exactly as long as the customer keeps pressing buttons. But people write in words: "Can you deliver to Chilanzar tomorrow before noon?" — and the scripted flow ends right there. The customer sees "I didn't understand you", tries once more, then leaves.

An AI agent works differently. It reads the question the way a person would, finds the answer in that specific business's knowledge base, and replies in the customer's language. The same agent handles price, delivery, and returns in one conversation without making anyone guess which button to press.

What the bot must be able to do

First — reply in the language the customer wrote in. In Uzbekistan that means at least Uzbek and Russian, with switching happening naturally inside one conversation, not through a "choose your language" gate.

Second — know your business, not generic phrases. Your catalog, prices, working hours, delivery and return terms should live in a knowledge base the agent draws answers from. When a price changes, you update one place, not ten scripts.

Third — stay honest when it doesn't know. The worst thing a bot can do is invent a price or a schedule. A good agent says "let me check with a colleague" and calls a human instead of making things up.

Fourth — turn conversations into leads. Name, phone number, and the substance of the request should land in a CRM, or at least in a shared lead list, from the very first message. Otherwise chat stays chat and never becomes a sale.

Fifth — hand the conversation to a human together with its history, so the customer never has to repeat themselves.

How to test a bot before paying

A simple test: write the bot a question that isn't in its menu, in Uzbek. A real agent will answer the actual question, in Uzbek. A button bot will show you the menu again. Those thirty seconds tell you more about the product than any sales deck.

The Replyra agent connects to Telegram in minutes, answers in Uzbek, Russian, and English, and tracks leads in its own CRM or passes them to Bitrix24 and amoCRM. You can test it right now in the demo chat on our site — with the same questions your customers ask.
